On August 9th 2011 at Mystic Hills Campground in Deadwood, South Dakota we had a poker run raising money for Lily who suffers from CDKL5. The run ran from Mystic Hills making 3 stops in Deadwood and Sturgis. Everyone who participated wore a green CDKL5 Hope*Love*Cure bracelet and we had over 50 bikes entered! After the run we had a pulled pork dinner sponsored by Mystic Hills Campground and after the dinner we had a live auction!
At the end of the auction we raffled off a refurbished Harley Sportster that Lily's dad spent lots of time on and when Lily drew the winner (who happened to be present) the winner said the bike could go into the auction! So we raised much more than we anticipated on the bike!
NightRider Jewlery was auctioned and went quick! Custom leather pieces, quilts, many many high quality items were sold for top dollar as well as a kiss on the cheek from Lily's grandma.
The event was highly successful and we look forward to doing it again next year! We hope to see everyone next year and your friends!!
